How to Apply

How to Apply

A personal and purposeful process—for families seeking more than just schooling.

Summit High School admits students through a selective process designed to identify those who are academically ready and personally committed to a structured, multilingual education. We do not ask for perfection. We ask for honesty, depth, and intention.

We accept a limited number of students each year. Families are encouraged to apply early, especially if seeking full-time enrollment, AP coursework, or dual-credit pathways.

Application Steps

1. Prepare and Submit Your Application

The complete application includes the following:

A. Academic Transcripts: Transcripts from the last three academic years. Certified English translations if necessary.

B. Parent Reflection Letter (Required): A one-page letter from the parent(s) or guardian(s) describing the child’s strengths, growth, and needs.

C. Student Personal Essay (Required): A 500-word essay answering, “Why am I looking for a new school? What am I hoping to find?”

D. Optional: Student Video Introduction: A casual 2-3 minute video introducing themselves. No academic content needed.

E. Identification Document: Passport or National ID.

F. English Proficiency Proof (if applicable): For students whose prior schooling was not in English.

G. Optional Supporting Materials: Portfolios, recommendation letters, awards, or test scores may be included but are not required.

2. Application Review

We evaluate each application holistically, prioritizing students who:

- Are fluent in English and studying at least two other languages
- Are prepared for six day per week structured study
- Are working at or above grade level in core subjects
- Show academic maturity and ethical responsibility

3. Personal Conversation

If your file aligns with our standards, we will invite you to a personal video conversation with our admissions team. This is not an interview, but a respectful dialogue to understand the student’s context, goals, and readiness.

4. Decision & Next Steps

Admissions decisions are typically issued within 7–10 business days after the family conversation. Admitted students will receive:

- A formal letter of acceptance
- A personalized Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
- Onboarding support, including orientation and course registration
- Start date assignment (monthly entry windows)

A Note on Selectivity

We do not admit everyone. This is not about exclusivity, but alignment. Summit is a small school with a specific academic and human culture, and we welcome students ready for that experience.
