German Language Program – CEFR-Aligned Pathway

Academic German for Global Fluency and University Readiness

Grades 9–12 · 1.0 Credit per Level · Multilingual Literacy and Culture

Summit’s German Language Program develops reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills from beginner through advanced levels. Following the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the curriculum prepares students for academic expression, everyday fluency, and global certification.

To build both confidence and precision, students engage in scaffolded activities that blend grammar instruction with cultural immersion. In addition, learners are guided toward success on the AP German Language & Culture exam and the Goethe-Zertifikat assessments.

Instruction is delivered by native or near-native speakers who create dynamic and personalized learning experiences. Lessons feature real-world materials and authentic tasks that help students apply German in academic and social settings.

Because of its academic rigor and global scope, the program is especially beneficial for multilingual students, international applicants, and those preparing for university or careers in cross-cultural fields.

Summit’s German courses guide students through a structured CEFR-based pathway that supports real-world application and academic excellence at each stage.
