About the AP International Diploma (APID)

The AP International Diploma (APID) is a prestigious academic credential awarded directly by the College Board, the same organization behind the SAT. Comparable in global recognition to the International Baccalaureate (IB), the APID demonstrates a student’s excellence across multiple disciplines, strong performance in college-level coursework, and readiness for admission to leading universities worldwide. Unlike a school-issued diploma, the APID is an independent distinction of achievement that validates global academic preparedness, multilingual proficiency, and intellectual depth making it a powerful asset for international university applications.
